Wear-resistant steels
These are high-strength, alloyed, tempered and tempered anti-wear steels ideal for all types of applications that require high wear resistance, such as tools and industrial machinery.
AU 13% Mn
Wear-resistant Mn austenitic steel. It is supplied in austenitic or hyper-temperate state with sensitisation treatment over 1000º C and rapid cooling in water. This produces an austenitic steel structure with an approximate resistance of 100 Hg/mm2, with excellent tenacity and elongation. Friction or impact to its surface gives it wear-resistant properties.
Use:
Shot blasting machines and parts, hammers, clamps, top plates in mills and grinders, hammers in the cement industry, ceramic and mining, railway points, wear plates, and construction of electromagnets.
HB-280
HB-280
Wear-resistant tempered and hardened steel, characterised by its high resistance to abrasion and impact. Its high mechanical resistance, high tenacity and excellent weldability make this one of the most versatile wear-resistant steels, perfect for a multitude of uses.
Use:
For all applications susceptible to moderate wear caused by the continuous impact or friction of hard particles like: rocks, gravel, sand, minerals and ferroalloys.
HB-400
HB-400
Wear-resistant tempered and hardened alloyed steel, characterised by its resistance to abrasion and impact, as well as by its high mechanical resistance, good moldability and excellent weldability. It is the most used steel for a wide variety of applications.
Use:
For all applications susceptible to high wear levels caused by violent impacts or the continuous friction of hard particles like: rocks, gravel, sand, minerals, ferroalloys, carbons and powders.
HB-450
HB-500
HB-500
Wear-resistant tempered and hardened alloy steel, characterised by its extremely high resistance to abrasion and impact. Its high mechanical resistance and good weldability make it the optimum choice for extreme cases of high impacts combined with severe abrasions.
Use:
For all applications susceptible to high wear levels caused by violent impacts or the continuous friction of hard particles like: rocks, gravel, sand, minerals, ferroalloys, carbons and powders.
